3/8/2020 3 Comments reflection of 9th (week5)Today, I started to research and takuing notes about my Lines of Inquiry 1, 2, and 3. I found out that:
-Each year, 18,000,000 acres of forests is lost due to deforestation -If this carrys on, in 100 years, there will be no raindforests left -By not eating burgers from deforested land, or recycled paper YOU can make a difference -Humans cutting down forests at a rate of 36 football -Trees are obsorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen -When we cut down trees, large amount of trees carbon dioxide is no longer absorbed and it stays in the atmosphere this is the problem because carbon dioxide acts as a greenhouse gas this means it acts like a greenhouse by absorbing and readmitting radiation back down to earth -We further contribute to this when we burn forest meterials because the carbon dioxide in them is then released into the atmosphere greenhouse gases have a warming effect and because large amounts are being released into the atmosphere all around the world they are having a global warming effect on the local scale, however deforestation is having a different effect -2015, 3trillion trees worldwide, which about 400 trees per person -It looks big, but it is half of what exsited before human civilization began -Trees absorb carbon dioxide and emit oxygen -Trees also offset annual carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels -Trees also filter out air pollution such as particulates, ozone, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide Sources: -<https://www.ran.org/the-understory/how_many_trees_are_cut_down_every_year/ Thank you for reading!!

3/5/2020 0 Comments reflection of week 4This is about my reflection of week4
FEELINGS: How do I feel about my learning? -I can feel successful to answered my questions about my topic FACTS: What have I learned about the topic? What do I know? -I learned about deforestation's causes. Floods, Landslides,etc... SKILLS: What have I learned to do? -I learned why trees are disappearing and how I can solve GOALS: What do I need to work on? What do I need to improve? -I have to research about my Lines of Inquiry 2 LINKS: What has this topic got to do with my life? How I can apply this? -To save our earth and save trees -Plant more trees -Care of trees and plants CHALLENGES: What were some of the more difficult things to learn? -To research (Some of them are difficult to find) HIGHLIGHTS: What were my favourite moments? What did I most enjoy? -To research because I can know that new things QUESTIONS: What are some of the questions I still have? -When did people start to cutting trees? -How many trees are cutting down? -Do you have any things that already started to do? Thank you and have a nice weekend!! 3/5/2020 0 Comments reflection of 6th (week4)4.What are the all ways to use trees?
-Trees provide food -Trees protect the land -Trees help us breathe -Trees provide shelter and shade -Trees provide sustainable wood -Trees provide paper -Trees coserve water 5.What causes of disappearing forests? -Climate change -Desertification -Soil erosion -Fewer crops -Landslides -Water pollution -Loss of biodiversity -Floods -Increase of carbon dioxide 6.How can I help to solve this problem? -Plant more trees -Buy recycled products -Use less paper -Use less wood -Don't cut trees 7.What happen if trees are gone? -Floods -Global warming -Desappearing animals -Desertification -Rising temperature 8.Reason for deforestation: Soil erosion: -While a natural process accelerates with deforestation -Trees and plants act as a natunal barrier to slow water as it runs off the land Desertification: -If trees are removed, the area can become much warmer and drier, which may result in desertification Fewer crops: -There is less water in the air to be returned to the soil -This causes dryer soil and the inability to grow crops Landslide: -Without trees, land will be very unstable and easily down the slope -Large-scale deforestation has increased the risk nof landslides in mountainous areas Water pollution: - Without tree roots holding the soil in a forest, soil will run into the river -Can lead to the death of aquatic plants and animals and leaching of fertilisers into the water table leads to eutrophication Loss of biodiversity: -Brought about irreversible consequences of gene pool depletion Floods: -Trees prevent sediment runoffs and forests hold more water than farms or grasslands Increase of carbon dioxide: -Its Extreme Effect on Global Warming From logging, agricultural production and other economic activities, deforestation adds more atmospheric CO2 than the sum total of cars 3/4/2020 1 Comment reflection of 5th (week 4)Today, I will teach you some question and how to solve.
Why do people cutting trees? -Build something on that land -Clear land for agriculture use -Making paper -To make future -For land development -To earn money Why trees are disappearing? -Forests still cover about 30% of the world’s land area, but they are disappearing at an alarming -Between 1990 and 2016, the world lost 502,000 square miles (1.3 million square kilometers) of forest -An area larger than South Africa -Since humans started cutting down forests, 46% of trees have been filled How many trees are lossing each year? -In 2000 -2013 were reduced globally by 70,000 square kilometers. (It is like 50,000-100,000 trees) -Timber harvesting (37%), agricultural expansion (28%), wildfire (21%), construction of roads for resource mining and extraction, pipelines, and power lines (12%) and expansion of transportation networks via roads (2%). -Math would put this number at 3.5 billion to 7 billion trees cut down each year. 3/3/2020 1 Comment reflection of 4th (week4)Today, I will do lots of work. Yesterday, I also worked hard. On yesterday, I have to take notes with my computer. But I already took notes!! But it is in my school ipad!! So I had to do from start. But I almost finish my questions.
ENJOY YOUR DAY!! 3/2/2020 0 Comments Reflection of 3rd (week 4)Today, I finished to searching my questions, and now I am trying to plan how I organize my topic. I will plan by my self and also I will check check list , and I will work on that I have not done yet.
Corona virus is getting storong... 2/27/2020 1 Comment reflection of week3This week I did lot of work in my school. I know lot of things too so my brain almost die!! But, I encorage my self and I will enjoy my weekend. Have a nice weekend!!
2/27/2020 0 Comments reflection of 2nd (week 4)Today, I started very hard work. I have to finish until next week. So I started to finish my question.
2/27/2020 0 Comments reflection of 27th (week3)Today, I started to search again!! I know that middle east and north Africa had the largest percentage increase in forest area between 1990 to 2015. And also trees can use for paper, or wood. Wood can make for desk, building, chair or something that you need.
2/26/2020 0 Comments Reflection of 26th feb (week3)Today, I started to write lines on inquiry and central idea. but I can not post yet, because my techer did not check yet. And today, I started to solve some questions. THANKS!!
